Mar Ivanios College is an educational institution situated in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala, India. The college is located on a small scenic hilltop with a sprawling campus area of hundreds of acres in Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram.
The motto of the college is ‘Veritas Vos Liberabit’ which means ‘Truth shall Liberate You’.The College was founded in 1949 as an affiliated college of the then University of Travancore, later on under the Kerala University. The college is the dream child of the Late Archbishop Mar Ivanios of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.Recommended by the Malcolm Adiseshiah Commission set up for the study of Higher Education in Kerala, for the Autonomous status in 1985, Mar Ivanios College is a pioneering Institution of Higher Education in Kerala since 1949.The first College under the Kerala University to be Accredited by NAAC, Mar Ivanios College has now been awarded the status of the College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC. The portals of this great temple of learning has welcomed generations of intellectual, cultural and social giants from the length and breadth of the Country who left indelible footprints on the sands of time making Mar Ivanios College a proud alma–mater. The first Principal of this college was Fr.Benedict Thangalathil OIC ( Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios). Now His Beatitude Moran Mar Baselios Cardinal Cleemis is the patron of this college. The alumni association AMICOS (Association of Mar Ivanios College Old Students) has chapters in different countries.
Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology

His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos, the first Major Archbishop of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church established this Institution with a sublime objective namely, to provide quality technical education based on fundamental human values. Dedicated to mould morally upright, socially committed and intellectually trained Engineers, the College strives to realize its dreams.The aesthetically designed buildings in nine blocks spread over the campus have a total built-up area of over 32000 sq. m. An eco-friendly infrastructure concept, causing least disturbance to the landscape has been executed. Rain water harvesting has been implemented right from the beginning of the College. Each block is connected by Pedestrian Bridge, retaining the separate entity of each branch of Engineering, Chaitanya – The Administrative block, Thejus – The Academic Block, Nalanda – The Library, Yantra – The Mechanical Engineering Block and Nirmithi – The Civil Engineering Block. Olympia, houses the Amenity Centre, Auditorium, Food Court, Indoor Courts, Gymnasium, Placement Rooms and so on. Mar Theophilus Training College
The college started functioning in 1956 as an affiliated College to the University of Kerala on the Bethany Hills. Later the management identified a new site for the college and a full-fledged college was constructed with the required infrastructure facilities. The National Assessment & Accreditation council (NAAC) awarded the college with an ‘A’ Grade for its excellence. The college is working towards reaccreditation and has geared up for the post accreditation planning and implementation. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos, major Archbishop of Trivandrum is the patron to the college.

The Mar Gregorios College of Law established by the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrumis envisioned as a centre of excellence in legal education.The college was started by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.The college of law has been named “Mar Gregorios College of Law” as a memorial of Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios who was destined to guide the destiny of the Malankara Catholic Church for more than four decades. The Mar Gregorios College of Law, Trivandrum seeks to groom future lawyers who will imbibe, interpret and improve the laws of our land and the wider world outside. Now His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos, Major Archbishop of Trivandrum is the patron to the college.
Cardinal Cleemis School of Management Studies
Having excelled in all these different streams of educational services, the Syro Malankara Catholic Church, under the dynamic and benevolent leadership of Major Archbishop His Eminence Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, has decided to establish a Business School-Cardinal Cleemis School of Management Studies, expanding further the educational scope of this campus. Cardinal Cleemis School of Management Studies is situated in Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, one of the most beautiful hillocks in the city of Thiruvananthapuram with an extent of about 130 acres of land, housing a lot of educational and other institutions under the patronage of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. This educational campus emerged out of the educational vision of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in the State of Kerala. The sprawling campus, blessed with natural beauty and learning ambiance, is studded with 18 centers of excellence in education.
St. John’s College
St. John’s College is one of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Colleges established and administered by the Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram in accordance with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the constitution of our country. This esteemed centre of learning is the fruit of the vision and far sightedness of late Archbishop Most Rev.Benedict Mar Gregorios and currently flourishing under the patronage of His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis. Ever since its inception, the College is championing the cause of learning and total development of the region. St. John’s, affiliated to the University of Kerala was started in 1964 with Pre-Degree course and upgraded successively with B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. Degree courses in 1967, M.Sc. Mathematics in 1995, B.A. Communicative English (Semester) in 1998, M.A. Public Administration (Semester) in 1999 and M.Sc. Environmental Sciences (Semester) in 2001.

Bethany Navajeevan College of Physiotherapy
Bethany Navajeevan College of physiotherapy managed by Bethany Navajeevan province of the Order of Imitation of Christ, Bethany Ashram was the first college to start BPT degree course under the University of Kerala during the academic year 2005-06 with an annual intake of 30 students. From 2010-11 academic year onwards this college was affiliated to Kerala University of Health sciences, Thrissur.
Physiotherapists are health care professionals who maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and health enabling an individual to have optimal functioning and quality of life, while ensuring patient’s safety and applying evidence to provide efficient and effective care. Physiotherapists evaluate, diagnose, and manage individuals of all ages who have impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. In addition, physiotherapists are involved in promoting health, wellness, and fitness through risk factor identification and the implementation of services to reduce risk, slow the progression of or prevent functional decline and disability, and enhance participation in chosen life situations. Physiotherapy scope of practice is dynamic, evolving with evidence and societal needs.
St. Joseph College of Nursing Anchal
The great reunion movement in the Catholic Church was started in 1930 under the leadership of Mar Ivanios the late Archbishop of Archdiocese of Trivandrum. During the initial stages of the apostolic activities of our founder Msgr.Joseph kuzhinjalil, the epidemic Cholera spread over Marthandam in K.K.Dt was cured and controlled miraculously by his prayer and selfless service even at the risk of his life. The miraculous healing of the people lead many of them to the Catholic Church. Gradually Congregation of Daughters of Mary was founded to spread the good news and to help the apostolic activities of Msgr. Kuzhinjalil, in the Archdiocese. Sisters used to visit houses and give first aid to patients and they used to dress the wounds as well.
